Hailing from our own serene coastal town of Emerald Beach, Ethan Dean crafts a sound that feels both intimately local and globally inspired. A solo artist with a penchant for storytelling through music, Ethan blends soft, soulful guitar melodies with the raw emotion of blues, layering textures with instruments like the melodica, handpan, and loop pedal. Each performance is an immersive journey, where gentle rhythms meet hypnotic loops.

Live music returns to Rattle on Friday 6 February, with local singer songwriter Sarah McKenna.
With an acoustic guitar, a beautiful voice, and an innate love to sing and share her passion for music, Sarah delivers a raw and unique musical experience not to be missed.
Her original pieces are written with brutal honesty and raw emotion which escape the confines and structure of modern popular music.
A typical set will include a few of Sarah’s ear catching originals as well as her own folky twist on a diverse range of popular tunes ranging from Joni Mitchell, to Harry Styles, and everything in between.

New Years Eve Live Music Event
Rattle Restaurant and Bar is undergoing some exciting changes. Live music events, extended trading hours, new menus, and breakfast trade are on the way as of the 2nd January, and we’re launching them all with a unique New Years Eve event.
Live music returns to Rattle with the homecoming of one of Emerald Beach’s favourite daughters – Lily Hallawell. It has come full circle for Lily, with her music career taking off, her debut album to drop soon, and a range of gigs all around the Coffs Coast booked in for this holiday period. Having played her first ever live performance at Rattle some years ago, she returns here for this special New Years Eve event.
